Word cloud generators such as wordle.net is a great way to see students association of different topics. This is a tool I sometimes use with comprehension, brainstorming in the writing process, or group discussions. It is a very versatile tool that does not require a lot of time. There are some word cloud generators that only work with certain systems depending on what technology you are on.

This allows students to be following along while you are presenting and engages each student to participate throughout the lesson. There is a version that is free to use however in order to assign homework or add other features, there is an associated price.

Flipgrid is an app and website that offers an opportunity to share your thoughts and responses wit a video. As the administrator of the account, you decide how much time to give students to record for. Once the Flipgrid code is shared all videos are posted in a gallery like platform to allow for commenting and reply videos.
