This course was taken alongside my year-long internship through Michigan State University's requirements. I was introduce to various learning and teaching methods through mathematics. We studied and discussed the uses and benefits of Number Talks as well as how to teach student- centered mathematics. Most of the course was learned though practice and lesson design.
This course was also taken alongside my year-long internship through Michigan State University's requirements. I was introduced to various learning and teaching methods through English Language Arts. I learned how to analyze data from student writing samples and how to design purposeful writing lessons. Teaching For Understanding With Technology
Instructors: Alison Keller & Chris Sloan
This course was designed to learn and practice inquiry based Science lessons. We worked to practice and design lessons in the context of our internship placement. This instructor also spent time diving into classroom management. I adapted several strategies into the classroom that are focused on student ownership, restitution, and positive classroom culture. Finally, we learned the impact a positive classroom culture has on inquiry.
I completed this course as the first course requirement for a MAET degree. We began by establishing and identifying our professional learning network (PLN). The course continued to explore the affordances and constraints of various technologies used for teaching and learning. I researched a special interest project (SIP) and created and designed a presentable poster. I was first introduced to the TPACK framework and began my work in technology integration within my own classroom.

Applying Educational Technologies
to Issues of Practice
Instructors: Alison Keller & Chris Sloan
This course had me digging deeper into Educational Technologies and the TPACK framework. We explored and practiced several innovative technologies such as Evernote, Piktochart, Maker Kits, and Google Expeditions. We spent a great deal of time exploring Maker Education and I designed a makerspace lesson to implement within the classroom. Finally, we learned alongside the theories of constructivism.
This course pushed my thinking even further in my practice. We discussed the properties of a wicked problem in Education. We worked with peers to examine a specific wicked problem and brainstormed various solutions. Additionally, we explored our "info diet" and how that informs our technology culture. Finally, we continued to add and work on our own digital presence in the form of a personal learning portfolio.

Learning in School and Other Setting
Instructors: Missy Cosby & David Goodrich
CEP 800 had me discover the power of various learning environments. We analyzed different learning spaces and explored learning theories. I reflected upon which learning theories I implement into my practice and how my learning space is used. This course also gave me the opportunity to explore other potential learning spaces, such as a maker lab and other virtual reality spaces.

Technology and Leadership
Instructors: Missy Cosby & David Goodrich
The content that I learned through this course has been pivotal in my development as an educational technology leader. I learned the impact that technologies have on teaching and leading. During this course, we chose a leadership direction and designed a multimedia presentation of it's big ideas. Additionally, we mentored a year 1 student using the DES model to describe, evaluate, and suggest on their TPACK lesson plan.

Approaches to Educational Research
Instructors: Missy Cosby & David Goodrich
Throughout this course, I explored a research question of interest. I learned different strategies of research and most importantly what to look out for when researching on the internet. We developed skills to analyze and critique published writing. We held many discussions around a book study where we learned the power of research but also the cautions of research.

Proseminar in Educational Technology
Instructors: Dr. Matthew Koehler, Aric Gaunt, Brooke Thomas
As a culmination course for my Master of Arts in Educational Technology, this course helped me reflect on and compile my learned material. I created my portfolio to showcase work I've completed, reflect on previous goals and set new ones, and also grow my professional learning network. This course taught me to present my work clearly and professionally and offer well thought out feedback to other colleagues.
